Hi, I'm new on Dairy Goat Info, and I had some questions concerning buying a Nubian doeling.
I found one mini Nubian Doe, but to me, her udder looked pretty bad, as her attachments looked too high, and her teats hung low. Here is a picture of her. The red circles indicate where the attachments start:
Vertebrate Organism Fawn Terrestrial animal Whiskers

Then I came across this Standard Nubian Doe and I thought her udder looked better. Her attachments are higher, and her teats are above her hocks:

This is after her first kidding:
Horse Working animal Liver Organism Wood

This is after her second kidding:

Horse Working animal Liver Fawn Sorrel

What do you think?
I am not looking to show, I just want a well structured, good milker with well structured kids (but not needing perfection).
Thank you in advance!

I don't know the answer to this. I hope someone else does and will chime in. The second one looks more according to standard.

I personally look for milk records. If they are in milk, I would want to see who is easier to milk.
I was actually interested in getting doelings from two of her does, but the udder on the other one wasn't quite what I was looking for. Plus, she said that this one pictured above was easier to hand milk.

Well from my point of view the first ones udder definitely is not what were lookin for. Her attachments are really not the best at all.. the second one would definitely be my choice outta both of em.. her attachments are a lot better and even all the way around her udder is better..
Thank you! That's what I was thinking as well. It's always nice to get other people's opinions, especially when they know a lot more than what I know about goat conformation. 😊
