I know a Boer breeder around here that gives her does an E shot when they're not making enough milk. (some kinda grass we have, can't remember what :blush, with a fungus that binds E -at least what she said) Anyway I am only getting 10 lbs instead of the 12-13 of last year's records. Since I had problems with weak kids I'm wondering if the does could use another BoSe or plain Vit. E shot. Opinions?
Probably wouldn't hurt them, but I've never heard of fungus on grass binding vit. E. I am in a completely different area than you though.
That would be tall fescue - it causes lots of problems if you do not keep the seed heads cut off. It is fine as forage if you do not let them eat the seed heads. That is where the fungus is. We bush-hog after it makes a seed head and have no troubles. There are lots of articles online about it directed at cattle mostly. Lee
