I have a doe that I'm battling some scar tissue with. It's in her teat from a bad cut a couple of months back. I'm using Keretilin wax teat plugs, and as most dariy products, these are made for cows. They are about an 1 to 1 1/2 long, and I've been trimming them to about half that when I insert them. Has anyone else done this? They just seem so long to be poking up there! I do feel like I'm sacrificing the plug being sterile by taking it out of the package, cutting it on a cutting board, taking it out to the barn...etc. Any thoughts? Thanks!
