I have a ? about transporting my 2 goats , Can I haul them in a 4 X 8 ' covered trailor with the door closed for not over 2 hours ???? Would they die ? .. OR ... could I put a wire cage inside the covered trailor and put the goats in it and not close the back door ???

Has anybody here moved a goat in a uHaul closed trailor ?

In our weather it isn't the cold that is the problem, it is the wind, and the buildup of moisture with our humidity. Stress from this moisture will cause the normal pasteurella bacteria found in all nasal passages of all goats, to grow very very quickly, this is exactly what shipping fever is. Pnemonia cused by the stress and humidity and chemical pnemonia from ammonia, built up during shipping.

Bedded deep and really only in there for 2 hours? I would think that would be fine, especially if not done on a warm 80 degree day, but a cool morning. Vicki

I would use the cage inside the trailer with the door open,
However supposed to be in the 50's Saturday and u shouldn't have a problem you maybe even getting some rain over there.

You would definately want some ventilation. I too vote for the open door.
