It's supposed to get down to 38 tonight. I'm wondering if this is too cold for the little buckling. He is about 25 lbs., but he doesn't have anyone to snuggle with. He has a good shelter with hay for bedding. It was 45 last night, and he was fine, but when it starts getting into the 30's it makes me a little nervous. If it's too cold, I'll have to bring him in the house.
I think with hay to snuggle down into he'll be fine. Our babies born in January spent many nights in the teens and 20's with no problem - though they had a heat lamp. But I think he'll be fine.
He should be just fine. The weather gets much colder here in Montana and I don't bring older healthy kids into the house. Kathie
