Has anyone here ever used one on their buck. It is a chastity belt for bucks and looks like a really good idea to control breeding and be sure of no oops breedings. Do you know where they can be bought?
It is just a piece of leather that hangs a ways behind the front legs so when he tries to mount her it blocks the way. It is not near the plumbing at all.
:yeahthat I certainly wouldn't trust a piece of leather to prevent breedings. If you don't want does bred, keep the buck in his own pen. Sara
besides which, after doing an internet search I think you would have to go to the outbacks of Africa to find an ancient pattern or ck out the herds there that are using them
I read about them things :biggrin and was wondering about them also. They do use them in Africa when they have a drought as there is no forage ,it keeps the does from having kids and this cuts down on doe and kid loss. I just thought about them tho as my bucks would get hung up in all the brush we have with that thing strapped around them .
I know that Tracy had put an article or something up on it. Not sure where you would get one though. Tammy Here's the article: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/7648860.stm
