Take it all away or....

    Neighbor's buck getting grain when not breeding. They will be stopping grain and only feeding the BOSS, a. pellets and grass hay. Should they take the grain away gradually or take it all away right now? He is/was getting 2 cups grain a day.

    I take it all at once they get it during rutt and working then abt 1 mo afterwards to get back into shape and that is it.

    My bucks get oats in rut and that is all.I stop all at once.

    2 cups, weigh it out.... isn't doing anything anyway, its nothing more than a treat, certainly wouldn't put weight on a buck of mine after rut. Mine get 3 POUNDS of their meat goat pellet AND their alfalfa pellets, then come June when everyone is looking better they only get their alfalfa pellets. V

    He is a Nigerian. Would that make any difference? And he's only got the two does to breed anyway. Not like he's going to need to catch up I wouldn't think.
