Super simple strawberry icecream

    1 quart cold goat milk, 1 cup cream, 1 cup strawberry jam*, 2 cups frozen strawberries. (We use about 1/4 cup sugar and mash them a little. ) pinch of salt, 2 eggs, and a tsp of vanilla. Leave it if you want chunky, blenderize it if you want something smoother.

    Depending on how sweet you like it, you can add up to a cup more of sugar. We find that it's pretty sweet as it is.

    If you want a low sugar recipe use the frozen strawberries, take half the jam away. Then use a tsp or two of stevia extract. Stevia is very sweet and this is one of the best ways to use this sugar substitute.

    We often cut this recipe down and do this in the blender for shakes. And it makes Popsicles for the kids. My kids love it!

    Options: use bleuberries or raspberries.

    * If you are making strawberry jam and forget to use fresh pectin and triple the recipe at the same time and it turns into super sweet strawberry syrup, this is the BEST way to use it up.
