I use refined. Maybe if I ever get 'big time' and/or have customers who care I might try the other. No one has ever asked what kind I use. I think there are valid reasons to go either way.

As a new unrefined convert I have found unrefined to be less greasy and also it has all the good stuff left in. I didn't think I would notice a difference but I do and now I am addicted!

For myself it's not soo much that they ask, but that I educate them :) Unrefined, and if you start pushing the qualites of unrefined shea and the uses of said...moisturiser under socks and gloves at night, on baby bums to prevent diaper rash before it starts, hot spots on dogs and it won't hurt them if they lick it off, udders, cradle cap, ashy knees and elbows, deep conditioner for dry skin (I have a large black clientel) then the prices you can charge for 2 and 4 ounces of shea equals that of what you pay per pound, makes putting it in your soap cheap.
