Nancy and others - Maybe I should start a new post . . . but as you shared about LaManchas having problems keeping tight toes . . . I just bought a gorgeos buck who I hope will do a lot for my small herd. However his front toes are spread apart. I spent a little time trimming them (a smelly job during the rut in the pasture without the stantion) his toes are still splayed, how can I trim them to get them to come together and tighten up?
That will be a gradual process Daniel a little each week trimming between the toes at the heel also little at a time.
What Sondra said. We have one not matter what we do we can't get her toes together. Her kids are fine though.
yep, their toes are not tight like Nubian's , my doe is wide apart when she is big with kids , seems weight spreads them even farther apart.
