Good morning! I haven't posted too often, but have a question. Do you soap using plain tea tree oil as a fragrance? I mix it with a few others for my puppy soap, but wondered if it sells well as a fragrance all on its own. I really don't care for the smell of it in the bottle - does it mellow a bit in soap? How about lemongrass? Thanks very much! Patty
My just soap has a tiny bit of tea tree oil in it. On it's own I think unfragranced soaps smell kind of icky, so I add the tea tree. Some say it smells minty, I think it smells clean. I also use it in blends. I only use my lemongrass in blendes, for my eucalyptus with the forementioned Tea Tree and also in my Lemon Zest soap, helps cut the lemon pledge smell of FO's. You certainly need very little of the tea tree. Vicki
Tea Tree is one of my Best sellers, I use a full 3 oz in a batch of soap (7lbs) But my people buy it for their psoriasis, or other problems, or for doggies with skin allergies. Occasionally because they like the smell.
