Will it be okay? I've got a regular customer that requested round soap in 3 scents for Christmas. If it was anyone else I'd say no but I'd like to be able to do it for her.

Wow, you are going to have to stand those pipes up in the oven, or it won't be round..
Should be ok, but i would research the pvc stuff and make sure that heat does not make it put off any fumes or anything first that could hurt your family and yourself.. I know with some plastics or man made materials the chemicals used to make them are not good.. So use with caution..

These are only going to be 1 lb batches so the pipe is short and can easily sit in a saucepan. I know some people heat the pipes to shape them into ovals. I'll see what I can find out. The recipe I'm using gets hard fast (cut within 5 hours) and has a 40% lye concentration so maybe I could pop them in the oven after cutting?

Nope, don't pop in oven after cutting... hard or not they can and will melt down..
