Hi I have an older goat that was found essentially dead at birth..
We bottle fed him and he has grown up well.. but always little more sickly.. he has had numerous hospitalizations and a bout of encephalitis..
he has struggled with weight recently and seemed to be wasting..
I Accidentally added colostrum to his extra water bucket instead of electrolytes.. I wasn’t wearing glasses. I did this for about a week before I noticed. He absolutely drinks it up and is doing better than ever the last 2 weeks ... Hmmmmm

Actual colostrum? Or replacer colostrum? It had a lot of healthy thing in it regardless of age. Wouldn't surprised if that's why he is doing better. If you question was to see if he would have any problems drinking it, I highly doubt it. Won't do anything to his health by drinking it. I have a doe who nurses her self all the time and no problems. She is my heaviest doe, has the best babies, and is going on 11 years now. She is about to have her last set of kids before I retire her.
