Have you looked online for nutrient content? I think most people don't feed it because it is a little rare. I did have a friend that got some last winter for her horses because that was all she could get and they did okay on it...course, she wasn't feeding them for milk production. anita
No, I took the easy way out....LOL..and posted here first. A friend just bought a bunch and I had never heard of it...he has had it about a week and said his does don't seem to like it, and a couple have scours now....so I told him I would post and hear what you all may know about it. I just did a little bit of searching on it and found info on millet grains, but not alot on the hay....it seems to be low in both protein and calcium from what I have read so far. Thanks, Paula
right if you do a search it says it will cause diarreah in some cases. It also is not as nutritious as most grass hays but if also feeding alfalfa pellets this wouldn't be a big concern for me.
