This is probably in the archives somewhere but I wasn't sure how to search for it.

When counting days between medications (e.g. worming in intervals with 10 days in between). What is the 1st day? The day you give the medication? Or the 1st day after? I suppose it might not matter that much, but DH and I were discussing this and wanted to know if we came to the correct conclusion :)

    Thanks,
    Trisha

I put wormed or cocci treatment 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 on my calander and then the next day is day one in the 21 days interval I skip for cocci treatments. On day 21 is day 1, day 2...and on and one. Every 21 days until well grown.

So it isn't really 21 days between treaments, it's on the 21st day :) Vicki

Thanks Vicki. Just to be sure I understand. Day one is the 1st day after treatment but day 21 is the next day that you treat them?

Yes, because of the lifecycle of cocci, you don't want to wait on kids until they are 3 weeks old to start, and you don't want to wait the full 3 weeks between either. Vicki
