Okay, so I made another batch of liquid soap again-full batch this time. I only added 2 gallon of dilution water, but its still a little thin. I know you can add borax to thicken--but what kind of borax?? Is it the 20 mule team borax or something totally different? Also, how do I go about this. Maybe take a couple cups out to thicken and then stir it in the whole batch. I'm clueless as you can tell!! Thanks, Julie

Julie, Borax will only thicken it a little (and yes 20 mule team) Cooking again it will help too. Heat up the LS, add borax to boiling water, stir into soap. Cook soap to thicken.

Handmade liquid soap is a little hard to thin and get it the thickness you want.. I find that I have to add less water than the table in the book says to..
Borox will thicken only very slightly, and if you add too much it can cloud up your soap... but makes a nice soap just the same..
