Does anyone know what kills CAE in buckets and on plastic and such? I am curious if a hot water rinse is enough, or dish soap, or does it need bleach? Items like milk pail, milk jugs, plastic funnel, etc. Milk is pastuerized of course but how do you clean stuff that has had infected milk on/in it?

Air. Wash, rinse, dry. Don't pour pasteurized milk into wet buckets that previously herd unpasteurized milk. I have separate containers to bring raw milk from the milkroom to the house, than what I carry pasteurized milk from the house to the barn to feed babies. I hate using my lambars because it always drips milk on my jeans! :) Vicki
