    I found this at TSC.

    http://stocktanksecret.com/index.html

I don't know if it will work so I paid the $4.99 retail for one and will give it a try. That funk on the sides of the water tanks is my pet peeve. I will keep you posted if it works. If it does I will be making my own next year with barley straw left in the field after the farmer has finished combining.

    Has anyone else tried this?

I gave it a shot, but I think my trough was too big, too dirty, or I didn't change the bag often enough. I may get a few to give it another go next time I go to TSC.

I know that the barley straw in the gunny sacks it a pond works well to keep algae down
