I have two goats. They are never around any other goats. They are both 6 years old. Each has had a pus filled lump on their cheek, just behind their lips. Do you think this is CL? I lanced the other one's lump about 2 weeks ago. I didn't get any of the pus on anything. I cleaned her up with betadine. Now this one had the same thing. They are supposed to be going to get bred at the end on the month, but I won't take them until I have them tested.

If you have any other goats I would QT these guys but it is likely too late as they have already popped. I would send in samples of the abscess and get it tested for CL. It is better to be safe than sorry when you are dealing with abscesses.

It could just be a poke as well and it got infected with something like staph.
