Good Morning Emma,
I am blessed with two Nubians, Minx and Mary Lou.. Minx is a great milking doe, horrible mother. Her first set of doe, (June 16ish 2021) she birthed them, but wouldn't feed them, she even was head butting the poor girls. We had bred her to a kiko buck.. we bottle fed the girls. this Feb she birthed again at night and never even clean them .. they died on the ground in sac.

painfully sad. She is great on milk stand and her milk is so yummy. she gifts us almost a gallon a day.. Mary has never conceived.. Not sure if it is because she doesn't like our boys or something else.
we kept Minx first set of does, and named them she bop and be bop. Nubian/kiko crosses. She bop was breed to our Nubian buck and birthed two bucklings. we stuck with the theme of names and called them tweedle de and tweedle dum LOL
Be bop is due next month. fingers cross she births does.
I purchased two more bottle babies . It has been a jouney health wise.. Thank fully there doing well now.. I plan to pick up a few more bottle nubian soon. (different farm) I want to make more cheese, I think cheese making is going to be addicting, it is so much fun. so far I make cottage cheese weekly, yogurt weekly. cheve, farm cheese and one parm.. I need MORE MILK coming in.. LOL hence purchasing all the bottle babies
back to topic of graining while pregnant, it is a concern of mine too for be bop. I give her cup of goat feed, sprinkling sunshine plus and alpha. I do worry on graining while pregnant because I don't want to her to grow big babies.. Hopefully she delivers as easy as her sister did.. I love walking out side and finding fresh dry bouncy babies on the ground. LOL Even if I have been watching like a hawk for a month! ! ! Hate not having exact due date and NEVER again if I can help it
