    Goodbye Tego...

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, after several months of nursing him, we put my 2 yr old buck, Pearl Valley Laredo Montego down last night. He had a great last day, laying in the sunshine, eating cookies, and doped to the gills on Banamine

Took him in to be necropsied this morning (hate to not know what happened exactly) and it looks like he had lymphoma. He really shouldn't have been alive still. His entire abdominal cavity was filled with what looked like jello.... I have never seen anything like that. His lymph nodes that should have been the size of a pencil eraser were more the size of a kidney. We dumped probably 4-5 gallons of fluid out of his abdominal cavity.

We sent a lymph node in to be tested, and went ahead and sent a liver sample as well just to see what it looked like.

We are lucky to have 2 yearling milkers and 5 doelings to freshen next year that will carry his bloodline on.
