Hello, I was reading a goat catalog that had a "health tips" section for goats. It said that bucks should never get Baking Soda because it works contradictory to giving Ammonium Chloride to prevent UC. I don't give my buck ammonium chloride since I've switched him to just alfalfa and grass hay to assure proper Ca ratio. So does this just mean you can't give him baking soda if you give ammonium chloride too, or should you never give baking soda at all, period? I thought baking soda was good for their rumens. My buck has 24/7 access to baking soda and minerals, but I just wanted to make sure I'm not doing something that will cause him to have problems. Thanks!!
