Way to go Patty! Now, just keep her on the CMPK and watch for milk fever for a couple of weeks. Calcium comprimised can go into lactation.

    You did good!

Thanks guys :D I really thought several times I was going to loose her . Even had the scapel ready to do a c-sec. It makes more sense now that I know she was carring 2 . She is so darn thin now ..poor baby. I have decided not to milk her and let her just regain her strength and continue growing. I was even questioning why the heck I am raising stupid livestock :sigh But I am better now.

I will keep up the cmpk for a few days also.

Babies just had there first bottle and except for really soft hooves they seem fine.

I'm glad your doe is better and the kids are healthy. I don't think it was the meds that caused her labor. They take longer to work. Your doe must have already been in early labor when you gave the shots. Kathie
