I have a wether that is very big, at least 150 lbs. Can anyone give me the dosage for my big Nubian? He has been lying down and the last time I wormed him he got up the next day.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't know what lying down and getting up has to do with worming..... If he's overweight that's why he's less active.
Check Maryland Small Ruminant for dosing as a good source...

The dose for Ivermectin injectable 1% is 1 ml per 25 pounds, this is as a wormer, the getting up and laying down may be something else. It is better to stick with one class of wormer until it no longer works and the right dose to prevent getting worms that are resistant. The doseage i gave you is what i use and I got the info from the University of Auburn and some other sources.

Turns out it was meningeal worms (sometimes called deer worm). My goat friend had taken him home and got his blood to a vet. So he's back! Thank you for your reply.
