I have a boer cross doe that was bred to a Lamancha buck probably between Jan 3-5. Of course, she was due to kid around June 1st. Yesterday, when I got home from work, I went to check all the critters and found "Jennie" with blood all down her back; she had kidded out two beautiful doelings, but they are two weeks early. They seem fully formed on the outside, except the bottom of their hooves seems a little soft. The mother has rejected them both and will have nothing to do with them; she hasn't produced hardly any milk anyway. Thank God, I have another doe that I am milking; she gives a gallon a day. I got a good bit of colostrum in both of the doelings. They're hollering, crying, sleeping, and sucking as any normal baby would. Miracle weighed 4.5 pounds and Hope weighed 3.5 pounds. We are feeding every four hours. I'm cautiously optimistic that they will pull through, but Miracle stood on her own this morning. Any suggestions on what to do?
