First timer here with a doe that's due anytime? with her first. She free ranges with my billy, but she started bagging up about 3-4 weeks ago and has had just a little discharge since then,
tonight I found her with this. Does this mean she's close? Her and my Billy are both pygmys.

Yep her hips are a sign of her babies dropping... I would definitely watch a goat giving birth so u know sorta how it’s gonna be if you haven’t alreadyweed em and reap and blue cactus dairy goats are good people on YouTube that have goat birth videos and they also have a list of what they all have in their kidding kits. So you can be prepared..
The pic is a lil blurry but I see what u mean
This is what I have in my kidding kit. Definitely not all the things but I’m still working up to it..

Power Punch
Nutri drench
both for helping a weak kid and to get them up and going
Towels/Sheets

Gloves-Incase you need to assist with birth

Thermometer

Iodine to put on kids umbilical cords right soon after birth to dry them up faster.. not a must..

Umbilical cord scissors

Molasses to put with warm water for your mamma right after she delivers so she has energy.

If it’s still cold where u live I would also have a heat lamp on hand.

Their is more that could be added to this list but these would be most common to have on the list

Also milk replacer and milk colostrum replacer if your scared she won’t have enough. Whole cows milk or whole goats milk is the the best but if you aren’t able to get some extra if you need extra, go ahead with the replacer..

Oh yay!! It looks like she is really really really closeHer udder looks quite full and tight... I would say 4-5 hours.. Just keep checking on her.. If she starts pushing and yells loudly she is definitely getting ready to push those kid(s) out.. keep us updated!

Darn thing started contractions so I stayed up until 2 then went to bed.. my husband came home at 430 thinking only 1 was out. Turns out the darker one was probably born first and wandered to a dark shadow. Didnt know until it made a noise. 1 boy 1girl!
