It's been 9 days since Jodi was bred and she started up some discharge, looks like heat, but not interested in the buck. Does this mean anything? I remember last year something about it being normal to have some, but can't remember how long after breeding.

I brought the buck around in case, and while he was interested, she wasn't. Then he discovered Toggy who is still in heat and boy I had to be fast (had him on a leash). He didn't care about Jodi after that, I had to drag him back to his pen.

    Thanks!

    What causes it?

The cervix closing down and sealing off (mucous plug) and/or "pooled" vaginal secretions. It can be normal as much as 3 weeks from breeding. If she's not bred, she will be back in heat in 18-21 days.
