I know I have found something on this here but I could not find it. I have always used Ivermectin so I didn't know how to answer a breeder who called me today. He wants to know if you can use Cydectin on bred does (60 days). He stated he had used Cydectin orally on his meat goats when bred but just wanted to make sure.

What is your opinion on this topic.

    Thanks in advance,

    Jolene

I used it on my does when bred because I had just gotten them and that's what was recommended on these boards. At the time, I wasn't sure how far along they were, but thought that they were probably within 30 days of kidding. It ended up being closer to 60 days from kidding, so approximately 90-100 days bred. Everything was fine. Babies arrived last week and are doing great. (And I wormed them 10 days after the Cydectin with Ivomec+, so they got really wormed!!)

yes I don't use anything prior to at least 30 days bred but you can use cydectin orally when bred.
