First time for this, too. Got a yearling doe with red around the edges of eye, and cloudy on top. Could she have had pinkeye and I missed it?

Do I give her oxy-tet injections?

    Is it too late?

I would use a squirt of tetrcyline in the eye like a drop or two. or neosporin as it may help.
could be pink eye or dust or a poke

Be sure to check everyone else in case it is pinkeye.

Just to let everyone know, I used Neosporin in the eye and 12 hours later it was almost clear! Good stuff. However, by morning it was looking red and cloudy again. So, twice a day I figure will be necessary for several days.

Well you learned the lesson before I had time to tell you :) Anything you choose to do with pinkeye, spraying with something, using creams or salves, injectable antibiotics...only keep symptoms at bay and keep secondary infection down. Pink eye has to run it's course and it can take 10 days to several weeks. So expect to be out their twice a day dealing with this for a long time :) vicki

    Thanks, Vicki!

Neosporin tube will be a permanent pocket partner for a while...
