has anyone ever used buttermilk in their soap? I'm talking about taking goat's milk, and making buttermilk, then using the buttermilk in the soap instead of plain goat milk? Is there a difference? Can you do it? Pros and Cons? Let me know you opinion's please and if you've ever done it. Thanks Sheryl
don't know but was out of goats milk the other night and used kefir instead couldn't tell the difference in the finished product so imagin that buttermilk would be the same.
Okie dokie, daughter was asking...she had an idea for a special soap, and thought if we put goat buttermilk in it, it might have a certain label appeal. or something like that. She wanted me to ask. So sounds like it would work, thanks. Sheryl
I've heard of using buttermilk, yogurt, even just sour milk. Suppose to make really nice soap though I have yet to try it.
I don't think you would notice a difference, but it would have great label appeal to it.. anything is worth a try once.. Kefir sounds interesting in soap...
