The Breeder who I got my two does from said he will lend me his buck for the months of september and october. Do I place them directly in with my does all the time? I have a 12x12 stall for them at night and then pasture during the day. He seemed to be a friendly buck when we met him, but I am kinda leary....

What if you try to handle him before bringing him home? Do you have a separate pen for him or just the one paddock? As then you can just put them together once they start flirting by the fence.

If you do put them together all the time, just watch their behavior and tails for signs of breeding, then mark the date(s) on the calender so you won't have to worry for two straight months, (staying up at night, hanging out in the barn, etc.).
