Yes I know its late. (tell that to the person who I am bredding to) :sigh Is it "wrong" or do you think its a good idea to breed daughter to father? (the other person that I was going to breed the yearling to now has no bucks) Yes its been a really bad experience with this being my first breeding season. And I am kinda freeking out not having any of my goats bred yet. My oldest one is due to come into heat in 3 days. So Im kinda wondering if it is bad to use dad. these are the girls pedigrees here. TIA! (I know this spring I am buying a buck of my own.)

With their dam side as close to outcrossing as you can, considering they are in fact still Nubians :) and the quality of the pedigree the sires came out of (not the herd themselves but the sire and dam they bred after purchase) I would go for it. Plus you want them bred, so use a proven sire who will get them bred now, not a young wipper snapper :)

But yep, buy a young buck in the spring, get your own goats bred at home. vicki
