I had plans to breed two of my does to an outside buck. However, I did not plan on our truck (with the canopy) breaking down, and also I work 44 miles from my home, and the buck I want to use is in the town where I work, so, you can probably see the problem. :sigh Anyway, I really, really, really, want to get my last two does bred this year. If I ordered semen, could I keep it viable until I need it without a tank? How long will it stay viable in the shipping container?
    Thanks,
    Anita

What are you using for a shipping container? A shipper tank?

It won't work that way. Most shippers have a couple weeks-MAX-on storage, unlike a regular tank. Some have less.
Most people that ship to you in their shippers want it returned the next day.

You better go to Plan B. :)

It's getting late in the year and if you are not experienced in AI you probably won't have a successful outcome.

Maybe you could just lease the buck for a month and have the owner bring him over to your place.
