it has been crazy at my house the past 4 days or so and I am really the only one who milks. Anyway, it was so busy that the past 4 days I have only milked once a day! gasp! I know! Now I am ready to go back to more milk production and twice a day milking. How does this affect the girls? and will they pick back up in production now that I have had them off "schedule" for that many days?

With my Lamanchas, i can just go back to milking twice a day and they will pick back up. It will be somewhat less than before, but they won't dry up. I think it will vary with each breed and also individually within each breed.
