I thought this was oregano and then I started second guessing myself.

This had a fragrant smell and something like a eucalyptus like kick.

The first two picks definately look like basil but without it on the plant in the dirt sometimes herbs all look alike.
The last two look like germeander or sage, but once again, not on the plant in the dirt Question. And not being able to have my sniffer at them  Sigh I cannot tell.

I definitely don't think the first is basil.  I've not had any experience with germeander so I'm not sure with the second. I thought it would be a crap shoot with them already cut and all.  Every Monday my neighbor gets boxes and boxes of left over produce and we get to go through them. There is always mystery herbs that we just have to feed to the animals because we dont' know what it is.  Thanks for trying.

Tiffany there are several types of oregano and several of basil. The leaves on the top two pics are too big to be oregano, small ovate leaves with extremely darkened veins, so if its not basil I don't know. Feeding mystery herbs to your goats is a crap shoot at best. Tam

They are organic herbs from Whole Foods.  I'm not feeding them to the goats just the pigs and chickens.

That top pic reminds me of cress.  If it tastes spicy/peppery, that might be it.

The last one looks like sweet marjoram.   I see the love knots on the end of the plant.  and Oregano tastes very peppery, it is an anti-coccidia herb.

the first picture seems to be water cress, it is pretty bitter. The second could be marjoram, which has very strong smell sort of like oregano but more intense. It could also be a variety of oregano or a broad leaf thyme but without seeing the whole plant it is pretty hard to tell. The first is most certainly no basil though.

Blessings,
