Just for fun, have you had a buck year or a doe year?

I have 3 bred does and am waiting for my kids. I bred fewer does and bred them later, but am getting anxious now. Just wondering what the percentages have been for bucklings and doelings born this spring on the forum  Happy smile

Um I'd have to say at this point with 4 done, and 10 to go...  BUCK year!
8 bucks to 2 doelings, and I think they were an after thought.

I am with Roseanna, easier to cull, plus buck years make it a little easier to sell does.

So far, a buck year, overwhelmingly.

Eleanor is our only doeling.  We have 3 live bucklings, and the one that died was a buck too (TG it wasn't a doe!).

We have 2 left to kid in mid-late April.  I am hoping for girls out of them, too, especially if they are even half as awesome as Eleanor (awesome sundgau coloration, great bones, and phenomenal udder/production genes).
