Since I'm trying to increase my heard, thankfully, it's been a doe year.  3 doe and 1 buck, 1 left to kid.

Well, all 14 of mine are due within 3 days of each other - 7 on Tuesday (3/23) and 7 on Thursday (3/25)!  Then I have a few in July.  I'm hoping for about a 60% doe/40% buck ratio.  I have 15 doelings sold and 11 bucklings.  Plus I want to keep a few doelings and a buckling.

We had a buck year last year.  For the most part, doe buck ratio will be about 50 50.

We are hoping for a fair amount of does this year to make up for last year.

Our December kiddings from 4 does were 5 bucks and 4 does.

No kids yet, but I am hoping for a 50/50 year! I just put a deposit on a very nice Nubian buckling frm a CAE negative herd who practices CAE prevention. I had ceased registering my herd and upgrading due to finances. I finally decided to start upgrading and all, so I took the plunge and got the best I could afford. So, since I am going for quality and herd building again, I will need to do the CAE program. Last I tested, they were all Cae neg, but that was several years ago and I've added a couple of rescues since then. Now I need to start all over. I want to pull any does and bottle them and keep the bucklings on the does (all grades anyway). If I had 50/50, the does would be happy with kids to raise and I would be happy with does to bottle and be able to certify CAE negative when they get older.

Last year I had 1 buckling and 8 does.
