newly deflated udder in pregnant doe??
First of all, forgive my ignorance....I'm new to owning goats. We got 2 does about 2 months ago...both were presumably pregnant at the time, but we have no idea when to expect delivery as they were in with bucks all the time as part of a herd. One has always appeared further along. She's an Alpine, and had large udders when we got her. She was routinely milked by no means, but you could express milk if you tried. We haven't milked her at all since getting her, but her udders stayed about the same in appearance.
However, today I noticed that now the left udder appears deflated. The right looks like it always has...like it has milk in it. She has not kidded yet. She is acting normal, eating normal, etc. Any thoughts on why one might now look deflated? (and nobody has milked her!)
