Default Goat Pregnancy Test

Has anybody had experience using these? http://www.twilcanada.com/bovipreg.php

It says it can be used for cows or goats. I don't like the terrible grammar on the website; I hope the manufacturers are Chinese or something...

Just wondering if anybody has used these, and what your experience has been. They come in a 10-pack for $50 ($5 per test).

I got some last year....but too late to use. Thanks for reminding me. I'm starting breeding in a couple weeks and I think you have to use them 28(?) days after breeding. Will have to read up and make sure I use them correctly. IIRC--I think they're suppose to work with blood, urine or milk.

Let me say right off the block that I have no experience with this test, so I'm just thinking out loud here: $5 a test sounds good, and that you can run it yourself sounds great, too. Having to run the test 5 consecutive days if you miss that 1-22 day window (which is based on experience with cows) suddenly ups the cost to $25/test (unless the negative appears before day 5, but still)...not good. Then in my experience heat cycles of goats vary tremendously between breeds and somewhat between goats. That puts the question out there if that timing of running the test on day 21 after AI/breeeding is actually correct for YOUR doe. Hmmm, I think I'm going to let someone else try this one!

It sounds good, but for me sending in the blood to Biotracking would be better because of the CAE testing also.
